Grupo Oroño

The origins of Grupo Oroño date back to 1950 when a group of prestigious medical professionals founded the Sanatorio Parque and the Sanatorio de Niños. With the arrival of the new millennium, this union was strengthened with the incorporation of Diagnóstico Médico Oroño, CIBIC, and ICR, generating mutually beneficial relationships and optimizing their services through innovative, efficient, and sustainable management. This synergy has consolidated Grupo Oroño as one of the most important national healthcare groups in quantitative and qualitative terms.

DESCRIPTION

Grupo Oroño needed to unify the clinical information from all of the medical centers in the group. Each medical center is located in different geographic locations, and each one has a different Hospital Information System that is not integrated with the others, with decentralized administration and without Site Recovery implementation.

SOLUTION

A project was carried out for the first implementation of Electronic Medical Record software in Argentina. By acquiring Philips’ latest version of the product and leveraging the Oracle database engine, Grupo Oroño was able to unify its medical universe.

The team at Tux Solutions assisted the client in the process of identifying and acquiring Oracle products, serving as a liaison between the client and the brand, and providing all the necessary tools and specialists to ensure correct licensing in accordance with Oracle’s policies and cost optimization for both licensing and hardware.

As a result of this project, significant reductions in response times and increased simultaneous user connections in different geographical locations are expected, with the system prepared to be used by up to 2,000 users.

BUSINESS NEED

“We undertook the complex task of integrating all the software products of each health institution belonging to Grupo Oroño. For this purpose, we acquired Tasy, an EMR belonging to the Philips brand, which uses Oracle as its DB engine.”

WHY TUX WAS CHOSEN?

“After several months of work, analyzing products and licensing, we found the best possible scenario that favored our institution with a correctly adapted Oracle solution. This motivated us to select them as a provider.”

WHAT MEASURABLE BENEFITS DID SAM BRING?

“We noticed a reduction in costs, improvement in response times, an increase in productivity, positively impacting revenues, and in turn, ROI.”
