Initially, the client had an issue with the connection of their VMWare infrastructure with the HP 3Par storage, where, from HP support, they recommended updating the software to solve the problem.
“Specifically, it was a matter of keeping the environments up to date, due to updates, and using the new features and tools of the new versions. There were many improvements in the tool that we wanted to take advantage of to have better functioning of the infrastructure.”
We updated the VMWare connection plugin with HP 3Par, and additionally, we also updated the VMWARE hosts, as well as VCenter and SRM to version 6.0. With the resolution of the first issue, we were able to schedule the update of the entire infrastructure in advance. The client extended VMWARE support, which allowed recovering the ESXi from a host that had a serious software issue.
